Of course, if time allows we will get a bite to eat when we are finished! We play at courses all over town and always ask for suggestions as to where we should play our
A little about us:
Anne : I was a late bloomer. In my late 40’s a friend who thought it was a skill I was lacking arranged for myself and 3 friends to take golf lessons. I quickly fell in love with “chasing the little white ball”! It was challenging to join an established ladies group, with most having many years of experience and very little interest in nurturing a beginner. Fortunately, good friends and lessons helped get me out on the links with confidence to hone my game. After arriving in San Antonio, and living next to a golf course, I knew I had to find some ladies who enjoyed the game. I met Sue Ellen at Girlfriend ‘s and we decided since there was no Interest group in Newcomers, we would start one!
Sue Ellen: My dad put a golf club in my hand when I was four! We lived across from a beautiful golf course and my 3 brothers would take me along to play 3-4 holes in the evening ‘cuz we could sneak on! I was lucky as our whole family played. Golf lessons began at five, played competitively through my teens and once life and love intervened, have played for fun ever since. I hope that you will come and join us for fun and friendship.
You can find information about our events in the newsletters as well on this website in the calendar. When you want to join us for one of the events please let us know so we know we can expect you! You can sign up at the Golf Event on the This Month’s Activity page!
We communicate usually by email with notice of upcoming game with date, time and which course playing a week before.
