It has been a very busy Fall. Our Interest Group Fair in September created a lot of energy and provided multiple ways to keep busy. Meeting new friends, learning new things as well as about our great city! I personally enjoyed seeing and learning the history of our beautiful Majestic Theater, thanks to OTRA.
For our chosen Charity “Soldiers’ Angels”, during Thanksgiving the plan is to collect items for box lunches, to be distributed to our local homeless and low-income vets. More information is on page 5 in the Newsletter in the Community Involvement update.
Unfortunately, Gladys P. , Reservations, has had to resign her position, due to health issues. She is recovering but needs to focus on her health. We wish her a speedy recovery. A Big Thank you to Jackie H., who filled in during the month of October. I am pleased to announce Wilma V. (aka Willi) has agreed to take over the Reservation Position. Please join me in welcoming her to this important role.
November 11th is Veteran’s Day. Please take time to remember and/or thank both past and present members of our Armed Forces.
