I found Newcomers newsletters from June 1999 through May 2000. The year 1999 held lots of uncertainty. No one knew what would happen when the clock struck midnight. All you heard on the news or read in papers was the year Y2K is coming, will the universe be the same on Jan.1st, 2000? So I decided to call myself Newcomers Y2K President. I did my best to give guidance (to the next function or luncheon) and helpful hints for survival. I believe we had 300 members, not sure how many dropped off after my year ended.
